Background Information
You must extend the OLAP Cube to create custom reporting solutions in Portfolio Analyzer views. For example, if you wish to report on task data or show the Weeks dimension in a Portfolio Analyzer view, you must extend the OLAP cube.

Project Server Expert, Bob Segrest, wrote an excellent white paper on extending the OLAP cube. When you apply the knowledge from Bob’s white paper, you will be able to do the following:
· Possess a basic understanding of the OLAP cube and the process that creates it.
· Identify and use the tools required to extend the OLAP cube.
· Understand the OLAP cube extension process by using Microsoft’s Task Earned Value Solution Starter.
· Use your Task Earned Value knowledge as a foundation for building your own custom OLAP cube.
