How do I prevent team members from entering time on a closed, cancelled, or postponed project?

Resolution

The project manager of the closed, cancelled, or postponed project should complete the following steps:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server

2. Open the project in which you wish to prevent team members from entering time

3. Click Tools – Build Team from Enterprise

4. Set the Booking value to Proposed for every project team member

5. Click the OK button

6. Click Collaborate – Publish – All Information

Note: When you complete these steps, Project Server will remove the tasks for this project from each team member’s Project Web Access timesheet.

When a postponed project is ready to resume, the project manager should complete the above steps and set the Booking value to Committed in step #4 above. Refer to the following link for information on how to reschedule uncompleted work in a postponed project:
