Resolution

The manager of the project must complete the following steps:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server

2. Open the project containing uncompleted work in a past reporting period

3. Click Tools - Tracking - Update Project

4. In the Update Project dialog, select the “Reschedule uncompleted work to start after” option

5. Click the date selector for the “Reschedule uncompleted work…” option and select a date one day before which work will resume on the uncompleted tasks

6. Select the “Entire project” option

7. Click OK

8. Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information

Microsoft Project will reschedule any unstarted and uncompleted tasks from past reporting periods into the current reporting period by setting a Start No Earlier Than (SNET) constraint on the relevant tasks. Use this procedure after processing task updates from the Updates page in Project Web Access into the Microsoft Project plan.
